Best tire for trails?

Buying new tires all the way around for my warrior, I only ride trails so i'm thinking 6 ply and maybe 4 ply only. The trails I ride are full of rocks, rutted washout, and tree roots. I don't want a mud tire hill climbs are more of my style. What do you guys think? I like the cst ambush, but thats only 4 ply, i'd like a 6 ply if possible or do you think 4 ply would be ok?

A lot of people will have different opinions, I love my ITP GNCC 6 plys, Also GBC make some really nice 6 plys that are a solid tire to run. The next tires I will be getting are some ITP Quadcross XC's you might like them. For the price the GBC XC masters are hard to beat.
