Hello,

I want to change to improve the front shocks of my Raptor 350.

Not for circuit, only i want something better, but Elka's are too expensive for me (1.500 € in Spain, more or less 1.300 $).

Any help?

I hear shocks STONE and SMC.

I think in Spain and Europe we have differents companies, could be interesting

Thank you in advance.

Ya I've never heard of STONE or SMC but Work's shocks are a good quality shock from what I've heard. If you get them without rezzies there relatively cheap especially compared to shocks such as Elkas.

Honestly elkas are way worth it, but If you cant find a used cheap pair( highly doubtful) I'd go for works for sure, In mx I htink of them as garage sale shocks, but after riding a pair in the trials I must say they arent too shabby ( tripple rate version with rezzies) Supposedly theirs a company called superior suspension used by some members on this site and they claim they are great, Also look into stadium, Those are very comparible to elka.

For your average trail rider elka's are pointless.. you would never actually use them to their full potential. I go with one of the cheaper shocks if its just used for trails and mild jumps but thats just me.

Average rider yes, but even then, after market shocks in general are just so much better for anything, regardless your skill level. From his situation I def. say go for a cheaper shock though.

Hello again!

Thank for your replies.

That's true i'm not a professional rider, of course, my jumps are little and i don't need Elka or Pep's.

But i've heard about company "STONE" has double spring's and adjustable compression.

What did you think?

I know there aren't for an expert rider, not dessigned for big jumps, but looks much better than the originals, anb they're "cheap" 525 $.

Also SMC:

I'll promise if i bought them, explain if i wasted my money hahaha :-/

For 450 you can buy recreational elkas, and another 100 i think will get you the rezzies, I cant remember. but those stones, look good, I see they have a rebound adjuster at the bottom, one question though, where is the compression adjustment?
