brand new to the forum thank god for these forums lol...so my 98 warrior brought the thing out tryed to start it and nothing just awhole lot of air sucking and popping...messed with the air/fuel mixture screw got it running and it runs great warm...untill its cold its always been a cold hearted beast does anyone else have this problem im just running a stock setup the only difference is a kn filter im running iv heard u need to up the main if you run a kn but iv also heard different...any input would be great my fello riders

I run a stock motor/exhaust/carb with a k&n filter. I upped the main and pilot jets one size each. I've never had issues with my warrior running when cold, but maybe that info helps...

iv got my screw 2 turns out which is called for stock what do you think?

so a question...if that quad sat for a week and u turn your key hit that start it fires up no problem...???

My quad sat for 3+ months over the winter. Pulled the choke out , turned the key and she fired right up. Right now I'm having some battery issues though... so it may or may not start haha, got to fix that.

those batterys will always get u lol...just put a new one in mine 45 bucks cant beat it

do you mean vacuum sync? Warriors have a single carb, carb syncing isn't needed.

u know thats what i thought...some other j/a told me different thanks alot for your help what sizes did you do your main and pilot?

I think these are the ones I have. Should be one size bigger then stock on both jets.
main: 147.5
pilot: 45
No promises on this fixing your issues though. I don't remember having cold running issues before the rejet, but the rejet definitely made it run better.

also why did you have to up your main/pilot if you run a k&n filter...
The k&n filter flows more air into the engine. This leans the air/fuel mixture. Putting in bigger jets allows more fuel into the engine, balancing out the air/fuel mixture again.

i think thats my problem you know i never had a starting problem untill this k/n filter its been a long time 98-2000 was along time ago lol thanks again for you input ill order a main and pilot 1 size up and see what happens cant hurt right...good riding my fello rider

so the bike i have doesnt have a k&n filter thought it did my mistake...alittle history on the bike first. everything is stock.. pipe, muffler, air filter, main jet pilot jet like i said everything stock this bike sat around for awhile first thing i did was rebuild the carb, still didnt run changed the plug, still didnt run cold starts are so brutal no matter how much i mess with the mixture screw and idle still just alot of popping, air sucking this thing sounds bad...untill the motor gets alittle warm then with choke in idle set kind of high push the start.. it will run it runs great warm and hot...the only problems im having is cold starts and when the engine is hot if i go full throttle is just dies...
