probably not good. looks like you need a top end rebuild, or at least a hone and new rings. Does it do that all the time, just when you're on the gas hard, only when it's cold, etc.?

just when he hits the gass hard........yeah i didint think of a hone job but yeah a rebuild.......ill go to phibbs with ya so they dont screw it up

we changed it on its 30th or 4th hour, and we were planning on changing it again soon? i also road it on monday, and i say this smoke on sunday, and i didn't see anyhting

So are you saying you've only changed the oil once in 100 or so hours?

I usually go about that far. I change it when it looks like its needs changed, not in intervals.

Rebuild it with a wiseco on the stock bore, take the cylinder and rough it up with a 220 grit sandpaper and slap her back together, thats the cheapest option. A hone isnt a bad idea, but its the same thing as the sandpaper.

It will cost you about 100 bucks to do that.

A ball honed cross hatch is not the same as sand paper IMO... I drop my oil every 2-3 rides (15-20 hours). I also check my valve/timing chain tolerances every 20 hours.

I agree with Death, stretching oil changes and other maintenance to save money will only cost you more in the long run.

Yea they arent the same, but the sandpaper works in a pinch.

The only reason i dont change my oil so often is because i run synthetic, usually when i change it its still brown.

anthony if you want if you want me to hone the cylinder for you i can, ill just have to bring it to school, they have like 6 of the tools...let me know so i can ask the shop teacher unless you want phibbs to do it

I drop my oil after 15-20 hours running Amsoil 20W50 full synthetic; no such thing as changing your oil to much. The YFZ motor also really beats the **** out of the oil - it really needs to be dropped that often.

I am anal though - my "waste" oil could go into someone else's motor for their oil change lol.

Amsoil is a group 4 synthetic and will easily last 100 hours. A regular dino oil needs to be changed much more often. Also, you can't really tell by looking at the oil if it needs to be changed. Best to play it safe though and change it often

Yea you are right, the yfz is way higher revving and etc. I would change my oil that often too if i had one haha. But i usually take it pretty easy on my warrior believe it or not, but when i need to i give it hell..
