This weekend I filed out the grooves in my clutch basket, added an extra steel plate to the clutch, and did the raptor clutch release mod. However when I tightened down the clutch springs, the pressure plate broke in two places. Everything was torqued to spec, and the pressure plate, clutch boss, and friction plates were all lined up. Any ideas as to why this happened? I heard that someone else had the same problem when they added the extra clutch plate so is there something that we did wrong or is this mod hard on the pressure plate?
