Hi I just installed a new gas tank on the Raptor 350, installed the black hose to the carburator and turned the petcock valve to ON. Now I tried to start it but nothing happens except the starter motor that turns. I checked my spark plug and it was rusted on the outside so I changed it for a new one. I tried to start it again but nothing happened... So I then Prime started it by adding a little bit of gas in the cylinder. It started almost immediately for about 5 seconds and it died... Carb problem ? How do you remove and clean out a carb ?

If that doesn't work, take the line off the carb snd make sure fuel is flowing through the line. If this is a BRAND NEW tank, there could be plastic shavings inside from molding it, and they can collect around the petcock sock and clog it up.

Oh yeah
Does it have gas in it?

LOL ! nice one dude !

Yep it does have gas in it. I filled it up half way to make sure it worked. I'll check the hoses and tap on the carb to hear if the floats aren't stuck. Well it came off a 2009 Raptor 350 so it almost looks brand new !

PS where does the CDI go on the Raptor 350 ?

On my friends raptor 350 the cdi sits infront of the battery in the little pocket.
