I traded an AR15 for a '94 YFM350. It ran good till you reach 3/4 throttle, then it was like running out of gas. The guy I was trading said it needed a carb tune up. I checked the air filter and it was bad shape. I got rid of the outer foam that was falling apart and put some foam strip on the front to seal it and it ran worse, it had nothing above 3/4 throttle. I checked the plug and it was black. I bought a E3 plug and it helped a little but not much so I've got a carb kit on order and a K&N filter. While I was looking around for parts I see all kinds of carb improvement parts like R&D flex jet fuel mixture screw and power bowl then the Boyesen quik start kit and power wing. Add a custom air filter set up and you could sink a lot of money in carb bling. Is any of it worth the money?

This my first quad.

Repairs made

I got the carb kit and some other goodies. I found the float about 1/4" too low and the accelerator pump stuck to the bottom. It should run better now and shift better with the direct shifter but when I did the raptor clutch mod I can push the clutch in with my little finger now. Something must have gone wrong there. I didn't get it back together cause I couldn't get the allen screws out of the emergency brake and got tired of messing with it. Some pics.
