sorry I keep asking so many ? But im new to the warrior! Should a air cut off valve look like this? I dont think it should but just wondering?

My neighbors was worse. I just put it in a sonic cleaner for several cycles, cleaned it all out and put it back together with new pieces and it works fine. If it were mine, I would disassemble completely, clean, and rebuild it and be done with it.
