I was wondering if other years of warriors had beefier chain adjusters than the earlier models?

I've been thinking about making my own with some bigger set bolts, and thicker gauge bodies. Something that could handle more load?
I took my hybrid for one quick ride, and the torque of the 490 mushroomed out the bolt, and flared the body of the sprocket side adjuster.
So the stockers aren't gonna make the cut.

I've read up on the 400ex carrier swaps.. But is there a cheaper way to beef up the chain adjusters on warriors, without have'n to swap the carrier???

Sounds more like you have a mounting/pinch bolt issue than adjuster bolt issue. Because, once you tighten all 4 mounting bolts that carrier should not move at all. Our 1st gens had issues with the bolt holes stripping out. That's why they updated the carrier in 89. Mine had this issue when I got it, and ended up drilling the holes out to 1/2", welded nuts to the carrier, and used 1/2" grade 5 or 8 (can't remember) sae bolts, to secure the carrier. Have not had one issue in nearly a year.

Yah I can see it twisted a bit. I painted the swinger, and you can see how much it moved.
I tightened the piss outta all the bolts on the carrier 2. I wonder if using a lock washer between the bolt, and mount would help any? It might keep it from wanting to slip?

Needless to say, I need at least one new adjuster.. lol

So I was out looking at the minor damage I did, and it kinda looks like my swinger is twisted 2??
Man I tell you guys.. One more set back on this thing, and I'm selling it!!
Buy myself another Banshee, and start over.

Ah, don't give up on it now. Just the usual crap for a 24ish year old bike.
Well I posted it.. I'll see what happens?

If I can't get a decent trade, or the money I want for it I'll keep it.
I just want something I don't have to work on so much.
