Cdi? Ignition Coil? Starting problems....

Hey everyone, pretty much new here..... So i got a 95' warrior and it wont start, a friend of mine checked the quad and said it wouldnt start because the ignition coil was the culprit... I try to start it,but all i hear is a crack up front dont know exactly where,but there is a crack, been looking everywhere, and ive heard about the cdi box, but not sure..... Help? :argh:

What do you mean "hear a crack up front" ?.....only way to test your cdi box is to throw a known working one your bike and try it out. You should first rule out everything though; before messing with the cdi box. You should take a multimeter and check to see if anything is out of range. Get a service Manuel. It gives you step by step instructions to diagnos the problem with resistance ranges
