hi guys ok i was looking on e-bay at cdi boxs.... i see they have " hot shot cdi boxs" "high rev cdi boxs" etc. is a stock cdi box fine? would puting one of them one make a diff. or would i have to upgrade stator and coil??

Do you need a cdi? After market cdi's are designed to improve the ignition timing, ignion curve, and increase the rev limiter.

no.... but i would like to replace everything on this quad with stock or aftermarket. well thats my goal.

I've been wondering about a after market cdi also cause it seems like its governed and isn't going full rev. I can't seem to find one for my 89' tho . Anyone know where possibly?

There are none for the 89. You sure you don't have another issue keeping it from revving out?
