I just installed a new chain and sprocket. I noticed my top roller is gone and my lower looks like a piece of PVC pipe. I have some delrin rod and I am going to make some new rollers. What outside diameter should they be? I went with 14/40 if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

I'm not positive but I think they are 1 1/4 inch. if the factory's get real bad they will wear the post they are mounted on then it's better to cut the post off and buy regular bolt on rollers

Best thing to do is cut the factory off grind them smooth and install rollers with bearings..And if you have a cascade chain slide you dont even need the top roller!

I was thinking of making a chain slider too. It looks easy enough. What would be better delrin or uhmw?

I saw that. I have blocks of delrin and uhmw. I also have a lathe and a mill and prefer to make whatever I can. I think delrin would work better because of the higher threshold to head, but I think uhmw would be quieter. Does anyone know what the cascades are made from?

Not sure there man..

I finished making my new roller today. After going for a ride, I noticed I can hear the chain on the roller. It is only noticeable during slower engine braking. I made it from delrin and I did use bearings. I made it similar to the powerlip. Is the noise common? I am sill working on the slider, should have it done this weekend. Thanks
