Clutch problems

I have a 1996 warrior and im new to yamahas and sport atvs.

My problem is that i have to let almost all the way out on the clutch handle for it to grab. Can it be adjusted or maby need new clutch????????

I think that is normal? Like is it not grabbing at all until the clutch is all the way out? Could just need some adjustment.

yep adjust the cable up by the lever

Ya it doesnt grab untill its almost all the way out and it has an aftermarket cable that ive already adjusted

Could have the wrong cable on it. Sounds like it time for a new clutch pack to me. While you in there add an extra clutch steel and make a huge difference.

seems to be the longest lasting and best grabbing one.

i had one in my 250r and i plan on getting one for my warrior but get the extream hd springs lol you have to be the friggin hulk to pull that bitch in

It's easy, easy man. Just make sure everything lines up with the boss and basket and your good.

NOTE TO ABOVE: UP ARROW on inside piece (clutch boss) and DOT on backside of clutch basket MUST LINE UP! Make sure ya have a dependable torque wrench that works at low ft lbs.
