Heres the new truck.

It feels like a giant cruiseliner when I drive her, but I get use to it every time I drive. It sounds so damn nice with the dual exhaust, I'd have more pics and a vid of the exhaust but the damn camera ran out of battery lol. Ill have new ones wednsday after we out the 33's on it tomorrow.
What ya think? Not bad for a starter.

Yeah, its gonna get a black paint job, some rims and a roll bar woot! Ordering new 33's if it looks good with the current ones too.

you missing a right shock???....you might want to rehang that left pipe...also the turn signals look a little foggy but its really nice, oh yeah your jewish...you have 2 z's 2 warrior's a 3 wheeler and a truck

WS the shocks are staggard one in front of the rear and one behind on GMs.

I don't think it's missing a shock, GM just has a dumb way of doing things, and that right shock actually goes in front of the axle, while the left one goes behind it. I'm sure they have some reason for it.

But he's jewish? Sounds more like hillbillyism to me. 5 wheelers, and a pickup truck with big tires, loud exhaust, and missing paint? How's that jewish haha, it's not like he owns 3 volvos and an audi.

gotta love gm's white paint back in the early 90's my dads truck did the same thing with peeling paint and all. it's still a great truck though.. whats it got for a motor.. 350?

Hey listen I know some of you guys around here don't perticularly like Chevys but I happen to be one that has for 20 or so years. My wife has a brand new Cobalt SS, I have a 01 Cavalier for commuting and a GMC 2500 for play.

One of the main reasons they have the rear suspension set up how it is, is to help combat axle wrap (a Very Common occurance with trucks with only rear leaf springs of the 60's and such) Also it's very common in high torque/hp applications (Yeoldetymewarrior's minivan rings a bell)... Under acceleration the rear axle will want to turn in the opposite direction of the direction that the tires are turning in (for each action there is an equal and opposite reaction, sound familiar?) So with having the shocks mounted how they are, one will compress, and the other will unload a little, and significantly reduce the rotation of the rear axle, and thus increase the lifespan of the U-Joint linking up the driveshaft to the rear pumpkin (if the axle were to rotate enough it would cause the U-joint to bind and pop).


But back to the thread, Nice truck man, hope she lasts you awhile. Get her painted, and keep it clean. It would look sick with a paint job to match the quad (and plus black is TOUGH to keep clean, And it gets hot as hell in the summer)

the shock is on the front side of the axle!!
