So after missing out on Death's IMS pegs my buddy suggested something. Got a second set of pegs off ebay for $15 shipped and with a little modification....

Coming off a foot injury these are so comfortable.

That is very smart.I got these extender things from HEP Products,I had to modify them for my 87-I guess they are more narrow than later years

damnit you guys...i was gonna but another set of pegs tonight so i can do that but you have allready done it...o whell, im gonna sharpen the knobs on the pegs with a grinder

I ordered a set of pegs last week to do the same thing.

Do the bolts seem solid enough to hold it on, and how much of a pain was it to get the holes drilled? Or are there holes there already?

all the ones ive seen like that looked really bad i like the look of yours awesome!

It was real easy. I just took a uni bit and drilled the back side factory holes big enough for the bolt heads to pass through. Seem very sturdy, I used 5/16 stainless hardware to bolt them together. My nerfs mount to the peg mounting bolts. So they weren't in the way at all.

i just got my extra set of stock pegs from ebay for $15 and after grinding new points on them, mounted them up and worked perfect. i mounted mine similar to yours except i ran 5/16" bolts all the way through. after the bolts went through the first peg, i put a 5/16" nut on as a spacer. then slid the other peg on and another on the outside and cranked 'er down. havent ridden with them yet though. if they feel like they are too far back, i might cut the second set of pegs down the middle and mount half on the front of the existing pegs and the other half on the rear.

[quote:28qdf8t7]mine are honna be just like that just without the gap in the middle

But isnt that where the nerfs are mounted? in the middle?

The raptors come stock with yfz foot pegs [/quote:28qdf8t7]

i didnt have the nerfs when i said that....you can do it on the other side still and not have the gap

well, i ended up splitting my extra pegs in half today and mounted half on the front and half on the back. i have to admit that they look more "aftermarket" than just another set of pegs mounted to the original ones. i'm still waiting on my nerfs, so i didnt do much to the front half yet. i'm sure that they will need to be grinded on so that they fit right. splitting them in half doesnt give you the width (front to back) as just mounting them up the way you have them in the picture, but they are still much wider than just the stockers. i'll post some pics soon.

The only problem I see with mounting to the front is losing room between the peg and shifter. I have enough trouble with my boots on as it is.

yeah, that would be a problem if the pegs werent split in half. the way i have them mounted is so there is only 3/8-1/2" in front of the original peg. that could quite possibly change if my damn nerfs ever show up!!! i'm gonna have to buy a damn digital camera before i buy any more parts. it would be so much easier instead of trying to put things into words.
