Cylinder wall?

Hey guys, on the cylinder wall I have a small scar. It is maybe the depth of a fingernail thickness and 1/4 inch long. Common sense tells me that any scars must be smoothed out but not sure if thats true. Is there any leeway on this?

hone it out
we have some hones that attach to a drill, but you might need to get them from a specialty shop,

you can hone it out or you can be on the safe side of the hone hoes ot work take it to a machine shop or a dealer and boar it over like .20 piston
