Well about a week ago my dad picked up this bike. It's a 1998 Harley Davidson Fat-boy. Came with a bunch of extra's such as the moustasche lights, visor, screamin eagle pipes, extra chrome, tachometer, and etc. Pretty nice piece of equipment if i do say so myself. As I mentioned this is my dad's new bike, i just figured id see what you guys though of it. I myself like the sport bikes a little more but this thing is sweet as hell.

Mmmmmm. 650 Lbs, and 52 Hp.

At least it's an Evo motor. How many drops of oil does it leave on the garage floor?

You can only go the speed limit buddy. And anyway my dad is 4 years away from 40. 40 year old guys dont ride around on R6's, and if they do they get laughed at. I havent seen to many harleys that leave drops of oil on the floor either, if they do they are not maintained or run way beyond the point that they should be. The point is harleys are for mature adults that want nothing but to cruise, not race around. Hence why 8 year old harley's sell for more than a brand new R1. You do pay for the name, but its one hell of a name to pay for. I am by no means a harley rider, i prefer sport bikes too, but its not my bike, and its a cruiser not a racer.

Sport bikes were my thing at one time.....and I have lived around Harleys and customization my whole life as I do it now full time....the bike is nice and a start..but I am a chopper fanatic myself..and im not talking OCC either..old school raw rigid and loud..... ; )

Lol Harleys leave plenty of oil on our shop floor!! They also vibrate themselves to death - we have a saying in our shop.

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong if it’s a Harley.

I love Harleys myself but to say they are mechanically sound is nothing short of a fallacy!
