Hey everyone nice to be here.

So I had a few drinks, was messin around riding in my yard...
I pull up to the garage and rev up for maybe 5-6 seconds and the engine cut out. It won't start up:( All I hear is a loud "click" from the starter cylonoid thing.
Please help.....
Thanks!

check connection at starter but dont let the post turn if that is tight then starter is bad or stuck

And tap the starter with a hammer, if it dont turn after all that take that plastic cover off left side and see if you can turn that 17mm bolt with a wrench. If no, motors locked up.

Battery connection is good. And I get. Voltage comoing out of the cylonoid. I took the plastic cover off the left side of the engine where a pull start could go. That turned.

Well it turned one rotation and stopped I mean

you probably got to the compression stroke after the one rotation so it will be noticeably harder to turn over til the exhaust valve opens up

Somewhat relieved lol. But as u can tell I'm no mechanic. What should I do?

Actaully, you don't have to remove the starter to check it. Hold the starter button and tap the starter with a hammer and see if that engages it. Many times when a starter is going bad you can tap it like that and it jars it enough to turn over. You could also bypass the starting system completely and hook up a set of jumper cables to the starter directly. Just leave the negative cable grounded on the chassis somewhere and only touch the positive cable to the post on the starter. If that don't do it, starter is bad.

yea i just thought of that last night genpat1. Just leave it connected, sorry brainfart.lol

Very good info! Thank you very very much. The Yamaha is across town, next week maybe... Start?? Yes Sir we will see

I bypassed the tarting system as described, with out luck. So I took it off and it turnes by hand. Kinda grainy feel to it.

Well I bypassed the starting system as described... No luck though. So I removed it and tested it that way as well with no luck. The shaft spins though

Lol seems so. Nice to meet you guys and thanks for the help. Probably going to take it to the rebuild guy.
