Is there a difference between a '89 and '99 Warrior flywheel? I have a '89 engine that I am swapping into a '99 frame. I was going to use the stator from the '99 so it works with the '99 wiring harness, but I then noticed that they changed the pickup coil from a '89 to a '99. So that got me thinking that maybe they changed the flywheel as well. I compared the two and the '99 has a much longer stip (1/4" x 3") of metal attached to the outside of the fly wheel then the '89 (1/4" x 3/4"). I was going to swap them but then it hit me that maybe that was just a weight to balanace the flywheel? Is that what it is, or does the '99 have a better charging system/coil on it?
