DNCR traills

Sup has anyone ever been around Northern PA near the DCNR trails? their super good they are legal traills just for atvs... they have like hill climbs ( Ones you can do on a 350 + ones to big for a 350 in my opion) and jumps and crap.. im jsut sugestion a good palce to ride but seeing if anyone else has been there... im going up there again next weekend... its gonnna be sweet

I haven't been on DCNR's trails for years, ever since they started requiring registration and insurance to ride there. The only area within an hour of driving for me wasn't a bad place to ride, but it was really small compared to the places I go now, and was closed down during hunting season which sucks. The places I ride now (Tower City and Rausch Creek) include insurance with the per day/membership fee, and they don't have restrictions for registration, noise, and fast/reckless riding like DCNR does.

yea dcnr requires pltes but DCNR isnt small... lol not if uve been there latly... how far are you from like lancaster and oxofrd? we should ride som times... and o yea for people who dont no DCNR traills are free... and i never heard of speedlimits... lol or atleast i never paid attention to it...

I went to Michaux State Forest a few times before they started mandating registration and insurance. Michaux is very small compared to Tower City. Once when I was there a park ranger gave us hell for riding too fast (I was on a honda recon and my dad was on a kawi prairie 400, how damn fast could have we been going to begin with?)

I'm in York county, so Lancaster isn't too far. I don't go to lancaster, so I really don't know exactly how long it takes. I have no idea where oxford is. I'm getting a small group ride together to go to tower city sometime next month, if you're interested in going i'll let you know when we pick a date.

The places I ride are listed in atv pathfinder. Tower city is freaking massive, about 5,000 acres of land that is retired coal mines, so you have lots of hillclimbs, coal roads, and other cool stuff.

We'll be going to Tower City (TCTRI). The first time you go up there you just pay $35 to ride all day, but after the first time you either need a membership, or if you go with a member you can ride for $35. My cousin is signing up for the membership when we go up, so i'll be riding as his guest (even though i've been riding there for years and he's been there once) I'm 21.

Here's a picture of my favorite trail at tower city, they call it the turnpike. I'm actually coming around the corner in my recon, the trail is so massive that you can barely see the little green speck with a dust cloud behind it.
