just wondering if a 98 link chain will be long enough to fit on a 02 warrior with 14-40 gearing?
Or should I order a 100 link?

I'd get the 100 link. If it's too long you can always shorten it. My 88 needs 100 link stock, and it fit 14/40 no prob when I used that gearing. Your 98 link MAY work, but all bikes and sprockets are different, that's been my experiance. I had to remove 2 links when I went to 13/38.

I would agree with Gen1Pat get the 100 link. I have 15-40 gearing on mine and the 100 link fit fine with a little bit of slack. With 14-40 gearing, 100 link chain will give you plenty enough of slack.

better to be safe then sorry man, i would just go with the 100 count

Chain breaker from Harbor freight is $4 (or so) and works like a charm.
