dual cable routing and measurement

I have searched but no luck,...so first how long is the primary cable (the one that goes to the thumb lever) I may have used one I had laying around ..I cant remember.

my currant routing is in front of the headlight mount, under the hood and fender then looping around the frame crossmember then back up through the middle of the frame into the splitter and the 2 cables go over the head and to the carb.

my problem is I do not like the sharp bend it takes under the hood and around the crossmember.
