I went to my place in md this weekend to do some work before summer and then do some riding. I had to unload the trailer to get my girlfriend's atv off to work on it a bit so mine had to come off too. Blah blah blah....anyway, I filled mine with fuel saturday night and sunday morning when I went to go riding it was dead empty. Wouldn't even start. I thought friends were messing with me but when I filled it and turned the fuel on, instant leaking from the lines that come off the carb and go down to the bottom of the bike. Any ideas???? Maybe stuck float or something?

Indeed, there is something stuck in your carb that is making the float stick, usually it's a piece of aluminum.

this is kinda dumb..but im a newb. what does the position RES on the fuel valve mean? should it be switched to the ON position or the RES?

The only questions that are dumb are the ones never asked.
The RES is Reserve...If your riding you want the gas turned to ON. WHen you run out please try not to run out. But sometimes you do...If you do turn the gas to RES, and you should have enough to travel hopefully back home...

thx alot. dude i love this site. U guys are so helpful. ;D

i have to agree with pelphrey, try not to run out of gas. from what i hear, you dont really want to run it on reserve. pelphrey, doesnt the reserve run from lower in the tank where sediment and **** can settle and end up blocking jets and stuff? i could be wrong, but i guess its just my common practice to only run it in the on position. i run an in-line fuel filter as well though. need to replace it soon.
