took the quad out of the garage today to go mess around in the snow and it wouldnt turn over. the last couple times i went to ride it i had to hold the push button down and turn the key on and off until it would start to turn over and start but it didnt do anything this time so i cleaned the the relays on the battery and stuff and checked the starter fuse and it was fine but i changed it anyway. i took it back out of the garage and got it to start but it stalled from being cold and wouldnt turn over anymore after that so i pulled it back into the garage and took the starter and light switch apart and cleaned all the relays in there. it started turning over again and then stopped and wont turn over at all anymore. everything clicks when i turn the kill switch to run and turn the key on. i think thought mayby the push button had a bad connection so i took that apart and cleaned the relays on that but still no luck. i think i might have a bad wire or something in the push button so i was gonna cut the wires and soder some fresh wire to the push button this weekend. anyone else have any suggestions of what it could be???

Low battery or bad starter try jumping it off or hit the starter with a hammer a few times if it will start if you jump it its a low battery/dirty connection/loose terminal if it starts after hitting the starter then the starter is bad and it is "dragging"

i dont think the battery is bad beacuse the lights turn on and but dont dim when i hit the start button and i cleaned the connections yesterday. ill try hitting the starter later today and see if that works

the starter is fine and i hooked up a battery charger to the battery and cleaned the starter solenoid connections, starter connections, and cleaned the sterter relay out along with all the rest of the relays and still no luck. i also cut and sodered fresh wire to the push button. i have juice at the sterter, the starter solenoid and and both sides of the starter relay. there is juice at the ground on the push button but no juice at the sterter part of the button. i think i have a frayed or broken wire somewhere in the harness???

I was having the same problem as well as intermittent shutdowns while idling after riding in the snow. Turns out I have 3 wire in the harness on the left rear section of the frame that rubbed on the frame rail and were arcing out on the frame.

i fixed the problem with the button start but now somethings wrong with my starter solenoid. it buzzes and vibrates like a basketball buzzer. do i just have dirty or bad connections or does my solenoid need replaced?

Sounds like bad connections. Might need replaced, there only like 20 bucks if it does. Change the connectors out to keep em clean

got it figured out. an insulator inside the starter on the terminal broke so the starter was grounding out when i tried starting it causing the starter solenoid to buzz when trying to engage the starter.
