eletrical help please pulling my hair out

I have a 2001 frame and a 98 motor, wiring harness, cdi and everything else it ran before I swiched everthing over from the 98 to the 01. got everything hooked up and it wont get spark I am almost positive the sator wires are not hooked up right. they dont have the plugs on them and I don't think the colors are matched up right please any help I just want this thing running again thank you in advance for anyhelp

Theres no connectors on the stator wires?! A clymer manual or the manual on here will have color coded woring scamatics of the years

Someone cut the connectors off I wired all the same color wires together and cant get no spark. Could it be because of the difference in the years. I.took everything off the 98 and put it on the 01.

I have the service manual for the 2001 I know the wiring out of tge cdi is differnt but is any thing else differnt could I use the 2001 manual for the 98
