Are these engines interchangeable? Will parts from a 98 fix an engine in an 03?

The motor itself is the same threw all years. But the wiring is different.
If you take a motor out of a 98', to drop in a 03' you'll need the stator, cdi, ect". From the 03' to make it run.

I have a 92 motor in my 02 all I had to swap was the flywheel,magneto and stator from the 02 motor

I think the guy interested mostly needs to replace the cam. Everything good there?

I thought the cdi was different between those years?

cams are the same unless one has an aftermarket cam and springs
wont know until you take the cams out but should be fine
