Fcr intake boot

Having a little trouble figuring it out, going to use a oem intake boot flange (head side) and some silicone or gas resistant tube but this came to my mind..

No problem or should i try to match the inside bore to make it all smoth?
and how about the distance between head and carb what is optimal? or do i work from airfilter box to head?

Not going to work. Not enough meat to attach a tube to the engine side of the factory intake manifold. You need to make one. I've done it.

ok got it i need to make a longer one. But do you connect it like the above picture?
