I wish that was all I had into mine. I probably have close to 5k in mine. What with getting it back to running condition. Then building the current engine, doing a bunch of monds, etc... Now I've bout got the stroker engine complete, and am doing a complete frame off resto, with more mods.

Ain't it the truth. lol. We are all misfits here.

^ Same here, although I would like to try out a 1st gen and a hybrid. See what all the talks about.. lol

They handle completely different. The whole feel of the steering is different.
Mine handles way different!!
I dropped so much weight going from the stock motor it feels like a different quad.. But the stock shocks are a bit to stiff now. Also the way I mounted my motor, and the jumpy powerband of the 490 make it a bit wheely happy.

The extra power is nice though. :D

we need a VID or STFU icon just for mathius lol
No video for you!!!
I wanna keep you all guess what shes about.
lol. jk'n

I need to figure out what to do about my swinger before I ride it again. But maybe this spring I'll make one just to shut everyone up.

Well, you know how to weld. Get the round carrier "band", cut off the stock carrier mounts, extend that bitch, and weld the round carrier "band" to the stock swinger. Add some gussets in there and you'd be good to go.

I'm thinking about starting right from scratch.. But the catch is I can't tig weld for ****, so I can't weld chromoly... (Well I could, but welding tubing with an arc is a fine art.)

I mig everything. All about penetration. I run .030" wire and burn it in there good. Get a good swath going, watch the puddle, make sure she etches in and whalla!
