First Oil Change?

i just got my quad done with a new top end in it. i was wondering how many hours i should put on the motor before changing the oil for the first time?

i was told 5 hours of riding...then change the oil and filter....then after 20 hours, change just the oil...then from there, just change the filter every other time.

whenever your oil is black and if it feels very thin it needs to be changed!

well yea but not when breakin it in^^ needs to be done alot sooner, try around 5 hrs

Make sure you are running non synthetic too, but you prolly knew that already. 5 hours sounds good for a first break in. Then wait 20-30 hours before the next one and change the filter.
