Hey guys, just picked up a 1996 warrior with a broken cam. I'm sure at some point I will need the help of this forum so that's why I signed up and am introducing myself. This is my first warrior but I did borrow one for trails already so I have a little experience with them. My old quad was a 1989 yamaha moto 4 225cc so this is a huge upgrade. I'm really excited to start this project and thanks for all the help in advance.

Welcome dude.
What's the deal with people breaking cams?
I don't know why so many people break cams. The story I got was that the guy who worked on was it was a tooth off in timing, but to my dad and I it seems that the nut on the valve adjuster on the rocker arm got loose, causing the engine to not run correct. Either way, I need a new cam.

The part of the cam that holds the dowel pin for the timing sprocket is all busted out, and the end of the cam shaft where the timing sprocket slides onto is also broken off. The sprocket is also damaged. I can get pictures up tonight if you are interested.
