Well a while back as some of you know I was considering lightening my flywheel but I really never got around to it. Well now with the recent destruction of my starter clutch I will be forced to remove the flywheel to rebuild the starter assembly anyway; the project is back on. I will let you guys know the difference of lightening up the flywheel when the project is complete.

There was a lightened flywheel on ebay for like 70 bucks. If i would have had the money i would have bought it, but im broke. Let us know how it works.

so wht all does lightening you flywheel do??

Mostly it's to extend the life of your muffler bearings, and it also keeps your turn signal fluid hoses from cracking and leaking ;D

By removing rotating mass you allow the motor to rev up much quicker.

...and down.

That's why when say, a Monster Truck blips the accellerator it is just short blasts.

As opposed to say the car in your driveway smoothly revs up and back down.

send your flywheels to me, i have access to a CNC lathe and mill and conventional lathe and mill, all you'll pay is to ship it here and back. the thing is only 5 inches in diameter, it'll be easy to rip some steel off it in no time
