Today i wanted to split the case so i could get my motor all put back together by next weekend. Well i ran into a wall when i went to pull the flywheel off.
First off in the Clymer manual it says that you should pull the gear on the lower left side of the flywheel out first but there's no way that it would get past the flywheel. Anyways i have a flywheeler puller from harbor freight that i used to pull off the flywheel. It didn't even budge by using a normal wrench. So i went and got the impact and it broke the flywheel puller. 3/16" steel snapped in half trying to get it off. So do you think there's a problem with it? Or would that $30 flywheel puller really get it pulled off? The other thing i thought might work is harbor freight sells a 12 ton hydraulic flywheel puller... What do you guys recommend?
