ok one of the barbs on my oil filter cover leaks. I can tighten it more i just dont know how tight it should be..should it be as tight as i can get it..
OK..no I didnt pipe sealer it..never heard of doing that...I bought it from trailwarrior534..ill have to ask him if he put any thing on the threads..But i can tell you that miller light and gatorade glazier freeze dont go good..lol
Do what dave said and put some pipe sealer or thread tape on it. I had to do it on mine, the threads on the fittings aren't the right type for the adapter.
Blue loctite makes a good thread sealer, you just have to make sure it doesn't get anywhere other than where it is needed. I have used it many times to seal threads on fill nipples which see 4500 psi of compressed air.
OK im changeing the oil tomorrow..What do i do about the oil in the cooler? How do i get that out? Or does you guys just leave the old oil in there? The oil only has about 2 hours on it but its to light..5-30 and im putting a way heavier oil in? The filter is also brand new.
Def use pipe sealer, don't use teflon tape as this seems to break down. I use teflon enriched pipe sealer, home depot sells it in the plumbing section.
