So I just got my quad fixed after a year of being sent to mechanics who did nothing... Got it home, Had some problems like battery being dead, stuff like that. I fix it all and I go for a hell of a ride! (My thumb hurts from this throttle!)
But I have some questions, This is a brand new top end rebuild, How should I ride it? Hard, easy, fast, slow? Another thing is its great except the fact that after maybe an hour or half an hour of riding smoke comes out a little bit of everywhere, Like all around the engine, Not to much but enough to notice. I know that the exhaust on it is pretty much shot but should it be doing that? I think it may be the gasket on exhaust, But anyway thats not the problem! After riding it and it smoking it starts to bog like a mofo. Like bad to the point where I stop and let it sit an hour or so... It is terrible, I know its not the timing like I thought it was before because I just had it retimed and a new belt.... So Is this a carb issue or the exhaust smoking causing it?
I would love some help! Thanks! :atv::atv::atv:

Could be a lot of things. Could be a bad head gasket, the engine bolts could not be tourqed down right, it could be the stator, lots of stuff. I'm betting on the stator. Ohm the stator. If it is fine, ride it till the engine gets hot and ohm the stator. If its out of spec by a lot replace it. There is testing procedures for it, but its a long type. Search it up on the site or on google for your year warrior.

Forgot to mention it was like this BEFORE it got fixed.. So you think stator?
I can run it fine with the battery unplugged and headlights work but flicker a bit.

The stator has 2 functions.
Create the initial spark energy with the source coil and sends it to the cdi box and charge the battery and run the lights. I'm betting the source coil is bad. Just replace the whole thing for the 60 bucks if it tests bad and save yourself the trouble.
