healight downgrade?

now i have a '01 warrior that the headlights are round. and i don't know if it's just me, be the old square headlights seem to fit the quad a lot better. does the old style headlight bracket mount up to the new type? I'd be productive and look in my repair manual but i don't feel like scavenging for 30 minutes looking for it. I was thinking about something around that and upgrading to some big bright square fog lights.

89-up will fit on the newer ones no problem, other than possibly the connectors for the harness being different, which would be easy to rewire. It's just the 87 and 88 that won't work because they were mounted lower.
