i have stripped out a bolt and i was told to use a heli coil but i have never used one before have seen them used but ive never done it. i know its like a spring and has left hand threads but how do they work and about how much are they thanx

cool glad it worked out for you, tapping isn't an everyday thing and does take some practice, unaware if you have had any past experience, and personally i'd rather **** somethin else up before I tried on something like you were trying.
 
yea i have very little experience but its all god just took my time and was careful i have done little things like hand guards and then i did a practice hole in a scrap piece of metal and put a heli coil and everything to make sure it all went smooth
