and the difference in piston weight was 60grams less for the JE from the stock piston 83mm to the JE 10.75:1 piston 85mm

no pics of the new hardware because I let a friend use my camera when the parts came in :p

Nice!
I want the spec's of the 10.75:1 piston. You must of bought that from alba action? From what I've found it's a 12:1 piston but they use thicker gaskets to bring the compression down.

yes form alba, but they did not send a spec sheet, I had to call JE to get the piston to bore clearance.

oh well that would be why I'm getting lite pinging on 92 gas. I used a stock head gasket. I'm going out this weekend and I'm bringing a 50/50 mix of 92 and 100 and we'll see if it still pings

this is'nt my pic but I think this is the same piston, it has the same dome.

Yeah, I've seen other pic's of JE 12:1's and Alba's 10.75:1 and they look the same but still that doesn't mean that they are.. . I guess from what I've always heard was that Alba claims that JE custom made there pistons but I honestly don't know. It would be fun to know the spec's of each.

I've heard that on other forums as well... What cam you runing?

the stock cam, but I do want to get the web .390 I do mostly woods riding.

I forgot the part # that was stamped into the bottem of the piston but ill try to find out from alba and call je for the specs.

thanks for your help when I started this jason

Anytime dude.. I love helping you guys out.
The web .390 would be a great choise and you will find that it will give you a great increase in power... Also bleed off some of that static compression so might be able to run 93 in her.
If you want all out torque the megacycle 252x2 all around cam would be better choise then the web .390.

ok the part # that alba gave me is 171307
I called JE but they did not have the dome size in cc's.
they did give me the dome hight of 230 thousandths but, I don't think that is right, just looking at the pic and form memory its more like a 1/4 inch to me.
back to alba ::)
