HMF exhaust

I have a 2006 Raptor 350 and I installed an HMF slip on last week. I have not touched the carb and my quad runs fine. Should I adjust/rejet the carb? I have contacted HMF and they said to drop the needle one notch. I don't see the need to touch the carb if the quad runs fine. They also suggested to check the spark plug for a tan color. If everything checks out why adjust the carb?? I live in Northern Ohio as well. ???

There is no "one size fits all" jetting. Go by how it runs and the spark plug color. If all seems to be good, then you should be safe to leave it how it is.
