I'd like to have some more power and dave said the 396 was really easy and hot rods sells the kit with everything you need. Would I need to run an oil cooler with this kit? Also, how much more hp/torque am I gona gain? Not sure how much hp/torque I have now with the exhaust,cam/piston. Would I need to run race gas? Also how hard is it to install? Only thing besides the hassle of adding an oil cooler is I'm afraid it would decrease the reliability a good bit? I know about any motor mod is gona somewhat decrease reliablility but I would imagine the 396 would make a big dent in reliability? Also, if my motor blew with the 396 I would be screwed wouldnt I? Would I have to get a new sleeve or w/e? Also what cam does this kit come with? I know if I got the 396 I'll eventually get use to the power and want even more and then if I sold it (a year or 2 down the road) I would lose a lot of money because you can never get what you have in it. idk duno what I wana do... ??? :-/

Dude as far as reliablity goes, hotrods products are pretty awsome, there all made of forged steel, its a brand new crank and rod and was designed from the ground up to be 71.5mm stroke. It only requires a 1mm bore to 84mm so the sleeve is fine, and can be rebored for a rebuild. As far as cooling goes I would add the oil cooler especially the one Mickey sells for the clutch cover as the crank gets the cooled oil first, as opposed to yamahas version were the crank would get it last. If your afaid to drill your cover send it to me, I'll do it for free, I've done 4 of them. Supposedly the Hotrods kits come in around 34 to 38HP, but it's not the actual horsepower your gonna sweat, it's the off idle torque of the longer stroke thats gonna be awsome. The Warrior will always be a front heavy machine, and never be built for MX, but if your into an awsome woods/trail machine this kit will work good.

I would imagine it would take a long time to install the kit because you pretty much gota strip the whole engine down?

Nah with a manuel you should be able to do it in a few hours. You'll need a 30mm socket, 36mm socket, and I believe a 27 or 29mm socket and a flywheel puller. I just banged the crank out with a dead blow (which you can sell), put the new crank in the freezer for a few hours prior to installing it, then use a propane torch lightly to heat the case up and the crank will slip right in. It'll cost you an extra $50 to have the cylinder bored.
