How do i adjust the reverse linkage

Ive got an 87 Warrior. What are the steps for adjusting the reverse linkage. Thanks for any help

You just loosen the two 10mm nuts at either end of the rod, and turn the rod by hand or with pliers. I've never had to do it, so I don't know what way to turn it. But, basically turn it till it feels good. Goes into and out of reverse smoothly, is easy to lock in place, etc...
