JBweld. It is drillable and tapable. I would completely fill the hole and make sure there is a good amount of excess so you have enough room to tap it. Should hold with no problem. I personally would not use the quick jbweld for that though. I would use the regular that takes 24 hours to cure.

someone on here suggested steel wool in the JB (for added strength I assume) because I am in the same boat except mine is a bottom hole busted and top wollered out yours looks the opposite! I am trying this later tonight...wish me luck!

i went with the jb weld and got a M6 helicoil kit...hopefully it holds, heli kit 45 bucks!

We oughta just split the cost and half the kit sambo!!

yeah dude! haha too bad your so far :p. im gonna try the jb weld and see what happens. i mean i got the motor for free so i just wanna fix it and get it running. im waiting for a guy on here to get back to me on getting the cams. lol i really need them so i hope he speeds up his reply.

cant cost more than 5 or 6 bucks for shipping...and the kit has a dozen inserts so it would work out to 6 each and comes with the install tool, yea I got my motor running to make sure it would, then pulled it after I heard it run. So I am taking my time on this one (actually thinking about a frame paint job since it is out that IS how restores start, right?) haha anyway good luck man I just didnt trust the jb to hold the threads, Im hoping it will hold the helicoil a lot better

Red locktite those before install as well to help hold them in place!
