How do I get the cover for the timing marks on the lower end off???

How do I get the plug thing off??? I've tried a flathead and it's just slipping off.

I take mine off with a quarter. You need a big fat flat head to get that thing off without chewing it up. Slap on some anti-seize on the threads after you get it off.

I've used channel locks, or wide jaw pliers.

channel locks work great! then never sieze the hell out of it!
