how to check shift forks

Went ahead and split the case on my motor. Figured id go ahead and check the tranny and everything out. Plus it looked like it was leaking between cases. Wasnt even any sealant on them. Question is how to check the shift forks to see if they bent. Everything shifted smoothly once I got the case apart.

I dug around and found a different set of forks. The ones in my motor werent bent but had some wear.

Yeah it is usually just a very good visual inspection will suffice. If it shifted fine before tear down they are most likely good.

It had a few gears that the rpms had to be just right for it to shift easy. Other than that I think everything is looking good
