How to get starter clutch off

Hey guys do I have to have the flywheel puller that you buy from ebay or can I use a fly wheel puller with the 3 hooks

You can't use a 3 hook one

Only the one that tightens onto the center of the flywheel. Just spend the $35 if you can. It will make the job easier.

Just hope someone hasn't messed up the threads like they did on my flywheel when I went to change my starter clutch

I just bought the fly wheel puller and I bought a stator gasket cause my case is leaking oil out the left side.

Hey guys when I put the gasket on do it just put it on and tighten it down or do I have to put something around the gasket?

clean both surfaces good and install and torque to spec. no need for anything else.
