Congratulations! I got mine today too, and I can't believe how easy it was to get tuned right.

Awesome yeoldtymer. I am thinking about getting myself one of these within the next few weeks. There are way to many edel users on the site that are way to happy about this mod, so I believe I cant go wrong.

ive hear those are a biatch to install... with be sick tho

Naw they're easy to install if you take your time and follow the instructions. I had mine running about an hour after I came home and found the box on my doorstep. I think the hardest part for me was just getting the carb clamped onto the manifold and airbox tube while keeping it lined up right, which is still very simple if you take your time. The only complication I had while installing it was:

1. I forgot to put the idle adjust cable on before i clamped the manifolds on the first time, so I had to take it off again.
2. The included fuel line is too large to fit onto the fuel petcock without leaking. I already had some extra red tusk fuel line, so that wasn't a problem for me. I was just a little confused about why they would include fuel line that was too big.

You modified your throttle housing too? If it only took an hour to dial in you are doing something wrong/ or something is off bro! lol This carb is VERY customizable - I spent almost a week ******* hauling ass around fine tuning the thing tell it was perfect.

It took me an hour to get the carb installed and running. I'm not saying that it's perfect yet, but it seems pretty damn good without adjusting much. I can hit the throttle as quick as I can and it doesn't bog, the spark plug is a nice tan color, and I haven't noticed any flat spots in the power. And since I was getting ready for it ahead of time I used your tutorial(which was very helpful) and modified the throttle housing 2 weeks ago, so I would have one less thing to deal with when it arrived.

By the way what needle are you running YamaRider? I am currently running a 22E.

Right now I have the 18E that came installed in it, and don't really have any reason to change it. It might have been a little bit on the rich side today, but it was 60 degrees outside, so I'm thinking it's going to be perfect when the temperature drops back down again.

i might have to join the club when the money comes in. that thing looks like every penny was worth it.

As for the rest of you who got one:

That is a better tutorial then the manual gives on how to mod the throttle cable housing.
