yep, that's right. i made the mistake of riding my cousins '08 honda 450r this past weekend. its the first time i've rode a 450 and man that thing has so much damn power i couldn't believe it. just a quick *** of the throttle and the front end is off the ground. makes for a wild and fun ride i tell ya.

now im torn on what i wanna do. i've always loved my warrior and i have a lot money tied up in it, but i realize it'll never be close to what these newer bikes are. so i'm thinking of getting rid of it to get a yfz450. i'll hate to see it go, but i could never have as fun with it as i could a yfz.

how much do you guys think i could get out of my warrior? i had it on craigslist a while back for like 2200 obo, but no one contacted me.

here are the pics from my album: http://www.yfm350.com/forums/album.php?albumid=6

good luck on the 2200, hell of a nice warrior though.

and yeah i have a few buddies with 450's and man do they kill my warrior lol

Lost another one, damn! Hahahah.

Some day I'll have a YFZ450x, those quads are sick! I've ridden everything, I still like the old trusty warrior underneath me.

well, i put 2200 as a starting price i would obviously take less and not to mention i had it on CL back at the begining of summer.

a quad like yours would do better parted out and returned to stock, then you could keep it as spare and have a 450 ;)

that's the thing i'd hate to part it out and keep a stock warrior. i would be even more disappointed with it haha.

well, i hate to say it, but it just isn't gonna cut the mustard now. i've tasted the power and now im hooked lol. if i had it my way i'd keep the warrior and have the 450 too, but funds don't allow me to at this time.

yea part it out that way i can buy some parts lol

New quads are pricey. Pricey to work on and to up-keep and to buy aftermarket for, but their fast and light. I don't like the skinny seat style either, my big nuts need a wider stance. Hahahah.

Keep your warrior how it is. All I ask is that you tell the buyer to sign up on this site!

On a side note. I just thought of another sticker, Warrior riders have big nuts!

yeah, when i first sat on the 450r i was like damn it feels like im sitting up high looking down. very different from the warrior, but i got used to it in like 5 minutes. however i did mention to him that he should lower it or something, but i guess when you really learn how the machine reacts to your riding style if won't matter.

idk, but i'm gonna really be mulling this over.

Yeash, Its defiantly a different stance. But you learn quick. The geomotry is WAY different then that of the old wardog. The warrior I always though of as a hybrid quad, Half sport and half trial.

i hated giving up my warrior. was especially pissed when i found out the dude i sold it to was selling it less than a year later. i still wish i had it. if we had room for it, i would have kept it. but with what ive been able to get out of my yfz, id do it again without thinking twice. the yfz is plain and simple buck nasty no matter what year it is.. as long as it was/ is taking care of. if and when you do it, youll be extremely happy. the yfz has almost the same ride height as the warrior. only difference i felt was of course the power and the skinny seat. i actually like the skinny seat better. it makes it easier to throw it around. only time i dont like it is if im whipping donuts and i stand it up and dont have enough throttle, i clap my nuts pretty bad.. good luck on whatever path you take

I would keep the warrior for your wife/girlfiend/buddy to ride. Old lady will want a quad if you go riding alot. And if you have two it's easier to find someone to go riding with and you have a backup while fixing or upgrading one.

yeah, very true. my gf will not like it very much if i get rid of the warrior considering the time i have spent with it instead of her lmao.

if all goes well and if i can get one of my trucks fixed decent i may be able to use it as a trade toward a 450. after all i really don't need this truck anyway. just gotta get the bugs worked out.

hey blkblr01.. if youre really serious, check into dealerships in your state and just outside to border of your state. theres dealerships in Jersey and PA that are selling 09 leftovers for 4600-4900. a guy in our club walked out of the dealership paying 5k total for everything said and done.
