It doesn't matter if you can't start it :p

j/k

(I have no idea what mines set at. The thing was not running well at one point and 'somebody' was messing with the idle speed screw....)

I think the service manuals say to set it at 1,400, but that's useless without a tach. To set mine I turn it down until it starts idling rough like it's going to stall, and then turn it up a few hundred rpm's. It's not a big deal to get the idle adjusted perfectly.

Yeah, just keep it uner control. You should be able to just listen to the engine and know when it is about right.

That's what I did

at the end of my sound clip i posted you can hear how fast mine idles. Set yours to close to the same speed and you'll be fine.

i set mine a tad higher than the factory setting and it she runs better (in the winter) in the summer i lower it back to factory settings

I set mine a little higher... it seems to respond better in the colder weather that way and start eaiser
