Idleing high now!????!!!

Ok you guys, I took the carb off today and took a toothbrush to it and cleaned the whole outside of it, to see if i could see where the leak was coming from from the previous video. I took the bowl off to look inside and i also took the accelrator plunger out and the spring on the plunger to check it out. Then I put everything back together the way it came out, and now when i start it up its acting like its at full throttle! Any tips????


Oh and i took the throttle cable off from the thumb also when i took off the carb.

try adjusting the cable at the thumb throttle it might be pulling on the cable which would make it rev up

but i dont under understand if i didnt mess with the thrumb throttle adjusting, I just took it out from the thumb throttle housing, then why would be out of adjustment? Sorry just trying to figure this out.lol

have you tried adjusting the idle on the carb?

or is the choke pulled out or is it pushed in?

Check where the cable goes into carb. Mine was stuck when I bought it and did same thing. Just make sure the slide is in the tube not stuck on it

well when i first started it i pulled the choke out and when it was ideling high like crazy i pushed back in and didnt change a thing. and the idle screw i didnt adjust whenever i took it off and before i took it off it ran fine.

there are 2 adjustments, the one on the trottle and on the carb, did you piss around with the idel screw at all? or bump it alot?

the one on the throttle? well i just unscrewed it from the housing up at the thumb throttle and poped that little end of the cable out of the thing it set it. and where is the idle screw at?

i just got up, i will try it within here in a little bit.I just remembered when i had the barb off i pushed the bowl down a couple times with my finger just to see if it was working properly. I pushed it down until it stop and took my finger off so it would come up. would that do anything you think?
