Whenever I come back from a ride (when the engine is hot) and when I'm just sitting there with the clutch pulled in or in neutral it idles a lot higher than it does when I'm warming the ATV up.
 
Yes its normal, adjust your idle down if its too high, i hope you warm it up with the choke, lots of people tend to not do that anymore, jsut rev it till its warm, which isnt good.

It is actually ok to keep the motor reved at a high idle with the throttle to warm up as long as u dont ride or go brum brumming.
