Insurance is going to be through the roof for a driver your age/experiance and that car...

Tell me about it, my insurance is outrageous, but i also have to be insured under all of my parents vehicles. Which would be a 1995 mustang GT, 1997 f-150, 2006 f-150, 1988 f-150.

2- 4.6 liter v-8's
2- 5.0 liter v-8's

which would be why im looking for a job and need one like quick. haha

The mustang would be the one making it high. Around here you can get full coverage on a newer F-150 cheaper than liability on an older Ford Ranger....lol. I couldn't believe that at first, but I had an '83 ranger and liability for 6 months was around $300 and then I got an '87 F-150 and full coverage was only $250/ 6 months even though the F-150 has a bigger motor and all.

Sounds kinda spolied to me not going to help you out in the long run

How is that spoiled? It's not like they went out and bought the car for him.

His grandfather owned the car and is handing it down to him.

Tell me you wouldn't take it.... ::)[/quote:7j1ppstt]

Im not talking a about the car im talking about his family paying for his gas and insurance

Even insured/listed as a possible driver to all those vehicles they aren’t really fast (including the stang); it may and will probably still be more for insurance on your own lol. When looking for insurance for my gfs 2004 red cavalier 2-door 5 speed (I hate that car its a POS - pretty typical of a Chevy experience these days though) we looked at other cars that would cost the same (mustang was one of them lol). They don’t necessarily go by motor size being that the cavalier was going to' cost the same as a stang ($4,000.00 a year)...

Yeah due to safety features/regulations of newer cars (airbags, ABS, traction control, etc...) many times they are less expensive to insure then old ones.
